Wouldn't rule us out yet, we have only lost Gardner so far and there will be loads more ins before the transfer window closes. Yeah all be it we will loose a couple of our "stars" but what you've got to ask yourself is how good can they be if they got us relegated? KRO!

We've lost more players than just Graig Gardner don't forget Bowyer, Larsson, Hleb, Jiranik,Martins, Parnaby, Derbyshire and I'm sure Bent and Oconnor were in the squad at the start of last season so all in all we've lost about ten first team players and only brought in three.

we will be lucky to finish top ten this season!
more players will go

I have been trying to stay posotive but really cant see a light at the end of this dismal tunnel, and the signings so far have been a joke.

i honestly hope these words come back to haunt me

great manager but he has been left **** signings
:banghead:

I have no time for this stupid post.

Rubbish signings? King and Burke are two of the best players in the league!

We're likely to keep Foster, best goally in the league.

Crawl back into your negative box and plan for next year when of course we will sebstaving off relegation to League 1.

Oh, and do you actually have a clue who is going to leave, or just trying to drag everyone else into your little ball of negativety.

obviously you do have time for this post as you replied to it!!

Now im entitled to my opinion and at present its pretty negative as there is not much to be pro about.

King will amas to nothing at blues. another marcus bent signing!

Burke blows hot and cold. reminds me of Mcsheff.

2 of the best players in the championship, i think not. now lets get onto the 2 new boys from Scotland

Gomis.... unknown quality, desperate to joing a championship club so even when McLies left he still came

Rooney...just because you can score for fun in the SPL does not mean you can in the championship. look at Kris Boyd!

And who else is leaving?? there are these 2 for a start

Dann
Jerome.... close to joining stoke

if you had read the post in the first place you will have noticed not all was negative and i'm really wishing and hoping that all at St Ands prove me wrong.

trying to drag pepole down.... nope!!! having an opinion thats different to yours... yes!

Kris Boyd may have struggled last year In his first Championship season yes, I don't think anyone will argue with that fact.
But he still managed to score 12 goals, Including 6 goals In 10 appearences for Nottingham Forest.

That Imo Isn't a bad return for someone who's struggling.

I honestly believe that we will get promoted this season. We have not exactly gutted the team so far, but rather sold on players who were not worth what it would have cost in wages to keep them and replaced them with less costly alternatives. Not really a Marlon King fan, but he will get goals for us. Morgaro Gomis and Adam Rooney had great seasons in the SPL and if played properly will give us a bit more energy than we had last season. Always liked Chris Burke.

1. Leicester City
2. Birmingham City
3. Leeds United
4. Reading
5. Nottingham Forest
6. West Ham United
7. Middlesbrough
8. Cardiff City

My prediction:

1. Nottingham Forest (P)
2. West Ham United (P)
------------------------------
3. Leeds United
4. Cardiff City (P)
5. Leicester City
6. Burnley
------------------------------
7. Reading
8. Middlesbrough
9. Blackpool
10. BIRMINGHAM CITY

Reasons:

Forest - No matter how badly he did in the England job no one can argue that Steve McClaren isn't a superb club manager. They made the play-offs last year and I think they'll go one better this year.

West Ham - Gold and Sullivan know all about getting promotion from this league, they've got a good manager, they've made decent signings e.g. Nolan and whether we like it or not they'll be right up there this season.

Cardiff - They've gone close the last few years and it just feels like it might be their time to finally get promoted.

Blues - The club is in turmoil off the pitch and we're going to lose all our best players leaving us with a paper thin squad for a long Championship season, plus Europe. We've got to rebuild almost from scratch and I can't see us being ready to mount a serious challenge for promotion next season, maybe in 2-3 years but not now.
P.S. I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic.

I think we are all In agreement that we will not walk the league this season, It's going to be a long, long, tough season.

Ultimatley though I think we will be there or there abouts come May, I honestly think we'll make the playoffs at least, If we dont go up then we dont go up. I just hope the board dont jump the gun and get rid of CH If promotion Isn't achieved as like you say, he has had to basically rebuild from scratch this summer.

Kind of agree here. When we were in the Prem there were people crying out for us to stop buying old washed up premiership journeymen and buy hardworking players with something to prove from the Championship.

So when we were in the Prem people were moaning that we should buy Championship players and now we are in the Championship people are saying we shouldn't buy Championship players and are gutted because we are not buying Premiership journeymen rejects.
